Bible Verses of the Day – April 21, 2026: Joy

Today’s Devotion

Joy is not simply a feeling that appears when life goes well. It grows from trusting God and remembering His goodness. When we focus on His promises, our hearts become stronger and filled with hope.

Life often brings moments that challenge our faith. There are times when worries, disappointments, or hardships try to take away our peace. Yet the Bible reminds us that joy does not depend on perfect circumstances. True joy comes from knowing that God is near and that His love never fails.

When believers rejoice in the Lord, they are choosing faith over fear. Joy grows when we spend time with God, read His Word, and remember the blessings He has given us. A thankful heart opens the door for God’s peace to fill our lives.

The presence of God brings a deep sense of comfort. Psalm 16:11 tells us that God fills His people with joy when they walk in His presence. This means that the closer we stay to Him, the more we experience the peace and strength that joy brings.

Joy also becomes a witness to others. When people see believers remaining hopeful during challenges, they see the power of faith in action. A joyful spirit reflects God’s love and encourages others to trust Him as well.

Prayer for Joy

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of joy that comes from Your presence.
Even when life becomes difficult, help us remember that You are always with us.

 Fill our hearts with peace and hope today.
Teach us to trust Your plans and to rejoice in every blessing You provide.
Let Your Holy Spirit guide our thoughts and strengthen our faith.

 Help us share joy with others through kindness and encouragement.
May our lives reflect Your love and goodness each day.
We place our trust in You and thank You for Your endless grace.
